"Outside of a dog, a book is probably man's best friend, and inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." -- Groucho Marx.

 KCKC at the Library!

The Key City Kennel Club members' "Meet the Breed" day was held at the Blue Earth County Library on February 15, 2003.  Members and their dogs greeted the public for four hours starting at 10:00 a.m.  Throughout the day there were on-going agility and obedience demonstrations.  The event was very well attended and enjoyed by the dogs and humans alike!  On February 22nd, a seminar was presented by KCKC members on "How to Buy and Raise a Purebred Puppy."  Presenters included Dr. Roger Nelson, Fred Bock, Lynn Davey, and Sharon Olson.  On Tuesday mornings during the month, KCKC members read stories about their favorite breed to area pre-schoolers.  Readers included Patty Hooey, Kathy Nelson, Fred Bock, and Ron and Lee Schulz.  The display cases at the library were filled with dog collections supplied by members.  Jeanne Epp, Ron and Lee Schulz, Jill Shirley, Connie Timmerman, Jan Richards, and Diane Neumann were kind enough to share their collections.  February at the Library provided a great opportunity for club members to get their dogs out and to be good ambassadors for their breed!
