Key City Kennel Club members from Fairmont,
Kasota, St. Peter, Mankato, New Ulm and Nicollet participated
in the Brown County Humane Society Petfest on May
3, 2003, at the Brown County Fairgrounds in New Ulm, MN. Lynn Davey,
Annette Frederick, LaDona Lange, Linda Murray, Cathe Olson, Jenny and Pete Otterness, Judy Petersen,
Jill Shirley, Theresa Steich, Linda Ulman and their canine companions impressed and amazed
spectators with agility and obedience demonstrations. Annette Frederick
was the commentator for the agility demonstrations, and Lynn Davey was the
commentator for the stage presentation. Interested spectators could ask club
members questions and take information from the literature table.
The Key City Kennel Club has participated in every Petfest.
At the first in 1999, the KCKC provided "Meet the Breed"
opportunities with obedience demonstrations. An agility demonstration
was initially presented in 2000. In 2001, club representatives offered
advice and demonstrations, and in 2002 and 2003 agility demonstrations became
a main attraction. In addition to assisting the Petfest,
the KCKC has given raffle donations to and helped raise funds for the Brown
County Humane Society. KCKC members are to be richly commended for
their ongoing commitment to humanitarian and educational activities!
